为探明光周期和温度对大猿叶虫( Colaphellus bowringi)龙南种群滞育诱导的影响,在不同恒温条件下系统研究该虫的光周期反应。结果表明,该虫的光周期反应为典型的短日照类型,光周期反应高度依赖于温度。所有的成虫在温度≤ 18℃时无论光周期如何均进入滞育。高温能强烈地抑制长日照诱导的滞育,短日照的滞育抑制作用仅在高温(≥ 18℃)下才能表达。将幼虫在长日照条件下处理不同天数后转到短日照条件或反相进行,结果显示该虫的光敏感阶段出现在幼虫期,并且一个长光照的滞育诱导效应要强于一个短光照的滞育诱导效应。该虫的温度敏感阶段包括整个幼虫期、蛹期和成虫期。
